This week, I’m talking about using your hard-won experience to gain freedom.

We had the business. We had the income.

We provided expert-level service for every one of our customers.

What we lacked? Freedom. And our energy reserves were sitting at zero.

Most days started before sunrise. Most nights ended long after dinner. Weekends? A blur of catch-up and prepping for next week.

We were burned out, but we kept pushing.

Until we finally said: Enough.

We sold everything. Left it all behind. And took off to build a different kind of life.

Here’s where I messed up:

Instead of turning my years of 20+ years of experience into a consulting business, I spun my wheels trying to create something brand new.

I bought course after course from online coaches who knew less than I did!

I tried being a travel agent. (My timing couldn’t have been worse! I refunded every single vacation I booked when the pandemic hit.)

I sewed boat canvas. (The money was great in an area brimming with sailors, but I hated it.)

If it could be done online, I tried it.

The truth is, I already had what I needed. And so do you.

You don’t need a new skill set. You need a new delivery method.

Here are 3 ways to take what you already know and turn it into a portable, profitable business…

1. 1:1 Virtual Consulting - This is the fastest way to get paid from anywhere. What are you world-class at doing? Focus on one area where you can help people get immediate results.

Want clients? Don’t announce “I’m available.”

Tell your story. Share how you made it work for you. Invite people from your existing network.

2. Remote Services - I’m betting that as a seasoned professional, you’ve worn lots of hats. As a small business owner, I’ve worn them all, too.

Sales. Marketing. Systems. Automation. That’s value.

You’re a problem-solver! Pick one thing. Package it. Help others with it.

How to connect: Text or email 10 people you’ve worked with before. Let them know what you’re doing now.

3. Fast-Action Workshops - Teach what you know. Solve one clear problem. This gives both you and your clients a quick win.

Use workshops to build an audience, grow your income, and develop reusable materials.

Personally, I love summits and workshops. (I have one coming up in late June.)

Let me say it straight…

You’re not starting from scratch. You’re repackaging your hard-earned expertise.

You can restart without guessing, without hype, and without wasting another month on business models that don’t fit you.
